Day 1:
BANGKOK – AYUTTHAYA – PHITSANULOK - SUKHOTHAI (Lunch & Dinner)
Depart from Bangkok to reach BANG PA IN (A place where the Thai Royal Family took refugees to escape the heat of Bangkok, between restful gardens, ponds and buildings that feature together both Eastern and Western architecture). Continue to Ayuthaya, the ancient capital of Siam founded in 1350. Whilst there, visit the most important temples of the historical park, making it one of the richest archaeological sites in Asia. (Wat Mahathat, Wat Phrasrisanphet, Wat Mongkolbophit). Arrive at Phitsanuloke. Visit Wat Phra Si Rattana Mahathat - a Buddhist temple where there is one of the most revered images of Buddha in Thailand. This image, the Phra Phuttha Chinarat, was created in bronze and gilded later on. This is an excellent example of the art of the Sukhothai period. You’ve finally reached Sukhothai.

Day 2:
SUKHOTHAI - CHIANG RAI (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)
After breakfast, early morning departure to reach the archaeological park of Sukhothai, which in the thirteenth century was the kingdom of Siam's first capital and today, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will visit: Wat Srisawai, Wat Maha Dhat and Wat Sra Sri. After visiting the park, we will set off to WAT PHRASRIRATTANAMAHATHAT CHALIENG (one of the most famous pre Angkorian sites, dating from the period of Angkor Thom).
Depart to WAT Phra Suthon (A Lanna-style temple influenced by various Burmese invasions). Passing from Kwan Phayao, you will reach the outskirts of Chiang Rai to visit the famous Wat Rong Khun (also known as the White Temple and throughout Asia, for its modern contemporary Thai architecture).
Lunch at local restaurant.
Arrival to Chiang Rai and check in at the hotel.
Dinner in hotel.
Day 3:
CHIANG RAI - CHANG MAI (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)
Departure to Chaing Saen, then embark on a motor-boat to visit the KHONG River, which marks the border between Thailand and Laos. You will arrive at the famous Golden Triangle; visit the meeting point of three countries, Burma, Laos and Thailand and an opium museum. On your visit of Chiang Rai, you can also visit the museum Baan Dam. (also known as Black House; which is only interesting on an artistic level as it has no other meaning and/or religious intent).
Lunch at local Thai restaurant.
Drive to Chang Mai via Doi Sakhet. Visit the temple of Wat Prathat Doi Suthep in the evening to enjoy the atmosphere that lingers on the temple during sunset, with the possibility to hear the evening chanting of Buddhist monks. Transfer to the hotel.

Day 4:
CHANG MAI (Breakfast)
Depart from the hotel to visit an elephant training camp. Attend a show of these majestic animals, where you can get an elephant back ride. (Optional - extra charge). To conclude the visit, visit the ethnic village of native women famous for their long necks. Transfer to airport.

After about two hours of travel we arrive at Wat Phrasrirattanamahatat ""Chalieng"", one of the most famous pre-Angkorian sites of the country, dating back to the Angkor Thom period. After the visit we depart towards Chiang Rai, making a stop along the way to Wat Phra That Suthon, a very original and colorful temple, strongly influenced by the Burmese artistic style.
